St. Joseph School, Springfield, MO, mark Catholic Schools Week

The dragon: Chinese culture presenters were the Talty siblings, Matthew and Hannah (both St Joe students), and older sister, Hillary (an I.C. student). The three were adopted out of China by Tom & Bev Talty who make an effort to keep the kids connected with their Chinese heritage. The Dragon was a big hit with all the fair-goers. This year there were 7 cultures represented at the Multi-Cultural Fair--there are more than a dozen different cultures among the St Joe Academy family.
Kids in the hall: Mrs. Johnson’s Kindergarten class had a pajama day during CSW and went to the hallway to check on the progress of the CSW service project; filling a baby crib with items for Birthright and filling a wheel chair with donations for the elderly. Both collections were a big success.
